Bored

Yesterday, I was bored. (Are you surprised?)

Well my friend, Blake has been working SUPER late each evening this week, which is fine by me... I mean, I miss him and all, but if the company that is paying for his overly expensive Rice education needs my hubby for a few extra hours... Take him.

Regardless, I was bored yesterday, and anyone who knows me knows that when I am bored I have a tendency to make strange, desperate-to-do-something choices.

(For example, I once rearranged all of the furniture in the guest bedroom by myself, only to realize, as I'm panting with exhaustion and exertion, that it looked the best the way it was before. Hey, that did take up a few hours of my time.)

Back to my point... Yesterday I was bored. And I did something I told myself I would never do.

[insert drum roll here]

I cut my own hair. 

[insert gasp here]

Oh yea, I did. 

I cut like three inches off my way-too-long, takes-at-least-fifteen-minutes-to-dry-with-a-hairdryer hair.

And you know what, I think it looks okay. Not great, mind you. But okay. 

When I told Blake what I did last night, he was relieved to hear that I have plans today as he has to return to work... ON A SATURDAY. (I think he was afraid I would end up doing something really ridiculously idiotic to take up time. Like maybe I would make wings out of paper and jump off the roof. I always did want to try that... Maybe on Sunday.)

That's okay, though, because I am excited about my plans for the day. I am meeting up with some sweet girls that I met through Blake's co-workers to learn how to "professionally" decorate cupcakes. 

*Sigh.

I love cupcakes! And maybe I had a few extra lying around from my cupcake explosion earlier this week?

And because I don't want to leave you all in suspense... Here are a few pictures of my new hair-do. Please don't laugh too hard at my faltering attempt. (I wouldn't want you to hurt yourself.)
