Instead of using water to give the caramel a perfect consistency to dip my Granny Smith's in,
I use orange juice.
It seriously makes the best caramel apples ever!

Seriously.
I also had a little help from the cutest assistant chef.
All the while my boys circled the kitchen like vultures.
Now go make some caramel apples!
